XM-DAC-47136-QA07 Global Green Growth Institute <narrative xml:lang="EN">MRV System Development</narrative> As the GGGI Qatar Office scales up its activities to deliver a multi-year cooperation program with the Qatar Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), one of the major work streams of GGGI Qatar Program is MRV System Development. It aims to provide the State of Qatar with operational MRV systems in accordance with the Paris Agreement ETF. The overall objectives of the project are to:· Prepare Qatar for more stringent reporting requirements of the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement, thereby helping Qatar fulfill its global commitment to climate action and strengthening its soft power in climate negotiations.· Achieve a systematic, integrated, and robust GHG data management system that can help facilitate effective reporting, planning, financing, and implementation of climate actions.· Develop a system to track mitigation and adaptation and climate support (financial and technical) flows.· Strengthen the local capacity of stakeholders in managing and implementing MRV processes.
