This centre acts as platform to exchange knowledge and technology between Colombian producers, students and other relevant horticultural professionals and (Dutch) providers of horticultural equipment and technology in order to improve the efficiency and productivity in Colombian horticulture.This main objective includes the following short term goals:• Creation of network in the public and private sector.• Establishment of the Knowledge & Training Centre and develop a sound managerial and commercial structure.• The execution of horticultural trials and demonstration of new and innovative technologies under Colombian circumstances.• Development of a sound training curriculum in cooperation with the Dutch suppliers and knowledge partners.• Implementation a train-the-trainer programme for a group of trainers.
