<narrative xml:lang="EN">Gaza’s water and sanitation systems have nearly collapsed, with 89% of WASH infrastructure destroyed or non-functional and remaining systems operating at less than 25% capacity. As a result, 96% of people lack enough safe water, most families have only overcrowded or makeshift sanitation facilities, and rising disease outbreaks pose severe public health risks. Ongoing displacement and recent military operations have pushed 1.5 million people into already overcrowded areas in the south, worsening needs and limiting access to essential services. To address this crisis, Oxfam and local partners are implementing a lifesaving WASH project for 60,000 displaced people, including:Expanding access to safe drinking water through new network connections, water trucking, and installation of up to 900 safe tap stands. Rehabilitating damaged WASH facilities in shelters and one health care center.Providing 300 hygiene vouchers and delivering community-wide hygiene and disease prevention campaigns. All activities followSPHERE, WASH Cluster, and IPC standards, ensuring safe, dignified, and equitable access to essential WASH services.</narrative>
