Il cherche &#xe0; renforcer la transparence et l&apos;inclusion, en veillant &#xe0; ce que toutes les parties prenantes, notamment les femmes, les jeunes et les personnes en situation de handicap, soient impliqu&#xe9;s tout au long du processus. Ce projet vise &#xe9;galement &#xe0; leur permettre d&#x2019;&#xe9;valuer et de v&#xe9;rifier, de mani&#xe8;re ind&#xe9;pendante, la cr&#xe9;dibilit&#xe9; des processus &#xe9;lectoraux.</narrative>
   <narrative xml:lang="EN">This project supports the objectives outlined in the Government of Sierra Leone&#x2019;s National Development Plan 2019-2023. It aims to enhance the institutional capacity of key election management bodies, the judiciary and the police, to implement and oversee the 2022-2023 electoral cycle. It seeks to enhance transparency and inclusion by ensuring that all stakeholders, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities, are engaged throughout the process. It also aims to allow them to assess and verify the credibility of electoral processes in an independent manner.</narrative>

     <narrative xml:lang="FR">Parmi les r&#xe9;sultats obtenus &#xe0; la fin du projet (mai 2025) : 1) le renforcement des capacit&#xe9;s de la Commission &#xe9;lectorale de Sierra Leone, de la Commission de r&#xe9;glementation des partis politiques, du pouvoir judiciaire et de la Police afin d&apos;am&#xe9;liorer la gestion des &#xe9;lections pr&#xe9;sidentielles et parlementaires de juin 2023; 2) l&apos;am&#xe9;lioration de la transparence et la participation civique dans les processus &#xe9;lectoraux, qui ont permis d&apos;atteindre un taux de participation de 83 % aux &#xe9;lections pr&#xe9;sidentielles. Ce r&#xe9;sultat est atteint gr&#xe2;ce &#xe0; un partenariat avec des organisations de la soci&#xe9;t&#xe9; civile qui a touch&#xe9; plus de 2,5 millions de citoyens, &#xe0; l&apos;engagement de 1 800 membres des comit&#xe9;s locaux d&apos;&#xe9;ducation &#xe9;lectorale dans 448 localit&#xe9;s de 16 districts, et &#xe0; l&apos;engagement responsable des m&#xe9;dias, gr&#xe2;ce &#xe0; la plateforme de v&#xe9;rification des faits en ligne i-Verify. Ceci est fait en collaboration avec l&apos;Association des journalistes de Sierra Leone qui a v&#xe9;rifi&#xe9; 328 demandes, contribuant ainsi &#xe0; lutter contre la m&#xe9;sinformation et la d&#xe9;sinformation; 3) l&#x2019;am&#xe9;lioration de l&apos;inclusion gr&#xe2;ce &#xe0; la diffusion d&apos;informations sur les &#xe9;lections aux personnes handicap&#xe9;es, &#xe0; la mobilisation de plus de 32 000 jeunes pour sensibiliser le public et promouvoir la paix, par l&apos;interm&#xe9;diaire de la Commission nationale de la jeunesse, et &#xe0; la formation de 260 candidats politiques aux questions de genre et au mentorat de 90 femmes aspirant &#xe0; une carri&#xe8;re politique. Ceci est fait pour encourager le soutien communautaire aux candidates f&#xe9;minines par le biais d&apos;une campagne He4She men&#xe9;e en &#xe9;troite collaboration avec les chefs traditionnels et religieux; 4) l&#x2019;&#xe9;lection de 41 femmes au Parlement, ce qui repr&#xe9;sente 30,4 % de l&apos;ensemble des candidats &#xe9;lus et une augmentation de 17,78 % par rapport aux &#xe9;lections pr&#xe9;c&#xe9;dentes. Le projet a &#xe9;galement soutenu le Comit&#xe9; d&apos;examen post-&#xe9;lectoral et la cr&#xe9;ation d&apos;un centre permanent d&apos;&#xe9;ducation civique et aux m&#xe9;dias dans les locaux de la Commission &#xe9;lectorale.</narrative>
     <narrative xml:lang="EN">Results achieved at end of the project (May 2025) include: (1) strengthened capacity of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone, the Political Party Regulation Commission, the Judiciary, and the Police to enhance the management of the June 2023 Presidential and Parliamentary elections; (2) increased transparency and civic engagement in the electoral processes, leading to an 83% voter turn out for the Presidential election&#x2019;s polls. This results is achieved through a partnership with Civil Society Organizations. This helped to reach over 2.5 million citizens, engagement of 1800 Locality Electoral Education Committee members in 448 localities in 16 districts, and responsible media engagement, through the i-Verify online fact checking platform. This was done in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists which fact-checked 328 requests helping to combat misinformation and disinformation; (3) improved inclusion through dissemination of elections information to persons with disabilities, engaging over 32,000 youth to sensitize the public and promote peace through the National Youth Commission, and targeting 260 political candidates with gender training and mentoring 90 female political aspirants. The project promoted community level support for women candidates through a He4She campaign which worked closely with traditional and religious leaders; (4) supported the election of 41 women to Parliament which represents 30.4% of all elected candidates and a 17.78% increase from the previous elections. The project also supported the post-Election Review Committee and the set up of a permanent Media and Civic Education Centre within the premises of the Electoral Commission.</narrative>
