   <narrative xml:lang="FR">Ce projet vise &#xe0; transformer de mani&#xe8;re positive les relations de genre afin d&#x2019;am&#xe9;liorer la sant&#xe9;, en particulier la nutrition et la sant&#xe9; de la reproduction (SR), des femmes et des adolescentes au S&#xe9;n&#xe9;gal. Le projet cible 200 000 femmes enceintes/allaitantes et 600 000 adolescentes dans les cinq r&#xe9;gions les plus affect&#xe9;es par les in&#xe9;galit&#xe9;s de genre et la malnutrition, exacerb&#xe9; par l&#x2019;impact de la pand&#xe9;mie soit Kaffrine, K&#xe9;dougou, Kolda, S&#xe9;dhiou et Tambacounda.  Les activit&#xe9;s de ce projet comprennent: 1) offre de d&#xe9;veloppement professionnel dans le domaine de la nutrition pour les femmes; 2) d&#xe9;veloppement d&#x2019;une strat&#xe9;gie pour attirer et renforcer la capacit&#xe9; des femmes et des adolescentes dans des positions de leadership, d&#x2019;action collective et de plaidoyer en faveur de la sant&#xe9; (nutrition et SR); 3) offre d&#x2019;activit&#xe9;s de communication et de sensibilisation pour aider les femmes et les fille &#xe0; mieux comprendre leurs droits et leurs besoins en nutrition, SR et &#xe9;galit&#xe9; des genres; 4) offre de formations en entreprenariat visant &#xe0; renforcer les capacit&#xe9;s des femmes &#xe0; g&#xe9;rer et p&#xe9;renniser des micros, petites et moyennes entreprises favorable &#xe0; la nutrition; 5) approvisionnement de services d&#x2019;assistance technique pour l&#x2019;institutionnalisation de l&#x2019;&#xe9;galit&#xe9; des genres au sein des 12 minist&#xe8;res qui contribuent au bon &#xe9;tat nutritionnel des populations en vue d&#x2019;am&#xe9;liorer la qualit&#xe9; des services; 6) accompagnement des communaut&#xe9;s pour une mobilisation accrue des personnes influentes pour promouvoir le partage &#xe9;quitable du pouvoir et des responsabilit&#xe9;s en sant&#xe9; (nutrition et SR) entre les femmes et les hommes.</narrative>
   <narrative xml:lang="EN">This project seeks to positively transform gender relations to improve the health of women and adolescent girls in Senegal, particularly their nutrition and reproductive health (RH). The project targets 200,000 pregnant/nursing women and 600,000 adolescent girls in the 5 regions most affected by gender inequalities and malnutrition, and worsened by the impact of the pandemic: Kaffrine, K&#xe9;dougou, Kolda, S&#xe9;dhiou and Tambacounda.  Project activities include : (1) offering professional development in the field of women&#x2019;s nutrition; (2) developing a strategy to attract women and adolescent girls and build their capacity in positions of leadership, collective action and advocacy on health matters (nutrition and RH); (3) conducting communication and awareness raising activities to help women and girls better understand their rights and needs when it comes to nutrition, RH and gender equality; (4) providing entrepreneurship training to build women&#x2019;s capacity to manage and ensure the sustainability of micro-, small and medium enterprises that promote nutrition; (5) providing technical assistance to institutionalize gender equality in 12 ministries that contribute to people&#x2019;s good nutritional status, with the goal of improving service quality; and (6) supporting communities to ensure influential people are engaged in promoting the equitable sharing of power and responsibilities between women and men with regard to health (nutrition and RH).</narrative>

     <narrative xml:lang="EN">The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) women and adolescent girls are empowered to exercise their rights and improve their health (nutrition and RH) and the health of those around them, in the context of the coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic; (2) gender equality is institutionalized in the multisector approach of the target ministries, in order to improve the quality of integrated nutrition services for women and adolescent girls; and (3) the practices of key actors, particularly communities, are improved to ensure better gender equality and equitable access to health (nutrition and RH) for women and adolescent girls.</narrative>

     <narrative xml:lang="FR">Les r&#xe9;sultats obtenus jusqu&#x2019;en mars 2025 comprennent?: 1) une formation de 170 femmes aux diff&#xe9;rents niveaux de leadership (communautaire, r&#xe9;gional, national), renfor&#xe7;ant leur pouvoir d&#xe9;cisionnel. 2) une formation de 296 femmes et jeunes sur le plaidoyer, incluant les principes transversaux et l&#x2019;&#xe9;laboration de plans d&#x2019;action; 3) une formation de 141 femmes membres de groupement &#xe0; int&#xe9;r&#xea;ts &#xe9;conomiques en strat&#xe9;gie commerciale, marketing, conditionnement et formalisation juridique; 4) une formation de 133 femmes par la direction de l&apos;Alphab&#xe9;tisation et des langues nationales du S&#xe9;n&#xe9;gal au programme d&#x2019;alphab&#xe9;tisation fonctionnelle int&#xe9;grant des modules sur la nutrition, la sant&#xe9; reproductive et l&#x2019;&#xe9;galit&#xe9; de genre; 5) un soutien &#xe0; 125 associations villageoises d&#x2019;&#xe9;pargne et de cr&#xe9;dit et 33 groupements &#xe0; int&#xe9;r&#xea;ts &#xe9;conomiques regroupant plus de 3 300 femmes, en litt&#xe9;ratie financi&#xe8;re,?gouvernance, entrepreneuriat, gestion d&#x2019;activit&#xe9;s g&#xe9;n&#xe9;ratrices de revenus. En plus de ceci, le projet a form&#xe9; 105 femmes sur les violences bas&#xe9;es sur le genre; 6) une sensibilisation de 10 766 adolescentes &#xe0; travers des clubs de jeunes filles sur la sant&#xe9; reproductive, l&#x2019;hygi&#xe8;ne menstruelle et la pr&#xe9;vention des mariages pr&#xe9;coces; 7) une distribution de 2 220 kits d&#x2019;hygi&#xe8;ne menstruelle; 8) une formation de 164 leaders religieux &#xe0; l&#x2019;approche Channel of hope, ayant men&#xe9; 149 activit&#xe9;s touchant 3 998 personnes; 9) une sensibilisation de 7 656 grands-m&#xe8;res sur la sant&#xe9; des femmes et le partage des responsabilit&#xe9;s domestiques.</narrative>
     <narrative xml:lang="EN">Results achieved as of March 2025 include: (1) trained 170 women at community, regional, and national levels in leadership, strengthening their decision-making power; (2) trained 296 women and youth with advocacy skills, including transversal principles, and action plan development; (3) trained 141 women from economic interest groups in business strategy, marketing, packaging, and legal formalization; (4) trained 133 women through Senegal&#x2019;s directorate of literacy and national languages (DALN) in a functional literacy program integrating modules on nutrition, reproductive health, and gender equality; (5) supported 125 village savings and loan associations and 33 economic interest groups, involving over 3,300 women, with training in financial education, governance, entrepreneurship, income-generating activity management. In addition to that, the project trained 105 women on gender-based violence;?6) raised awareness 10,766 adolescent girls through girls&#x2019; clubs focused on reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, and early marriage prevention; (7) distributed 2,220 menstrual hygiene kits; (8) trained of  164 religious leaders in the Channel of hope approach, who conducted 149 activities reaching 3,998 people; (9) raised awareness  7,656 grandmothers in awareness sessions on women&#x2019;s health and the equitable sharing of domestic responsibilities.?</narrative>
