       "": "The project contributes to effective and efficient evidence-based border management in Paraguay by developing the capacity of the Government of Paraguay and Paraguay's General Directorate of Migration (DGM) to sustainably operate and expand the IOM-developed border management information system known as MIDAS. Operational in Paraguay since 2016 at 10 border crossing points accounting for 90% of all international movement, the project expands to at least four additional border crossing points. In addition, the project allows for the reinforcement of MIDAS equipment at the existing border crossing points and provides related capacity developing initiatives for strengthening analytical and procedural understandings of border officers to facilitate and secure cross-border movements while preventing terrorist travel and transnational crime. Lastly, the project focus on strengthening the sustainability of the system and providing tools to contribute to the Government Paraguay's ownership of the system in the long-term.",
