The overall objective of this project is to support the development and implementation of assisted voluntary return and reintegration (AVRR) mechanisms by building capacity of authorities in Bulgaria in order to offer a protection-sensitive response to mixed migration flows. The project will provide national and local systems with practical knowledge and tools for implementation of return measures of third country nationals (TCNs), presently residing in Bulgaria, in accordance with good European practices. The objectives will be achieved by providing training on procedures, processes and building skills for counselling and successful approaches in AVRR to public institutions and non-government organizations active in the field of return of migrants, focusing particularly on voluntary return and reintegration measures. Project also envisages enhanced cooperation with the countries of origin of TCNs, as well as with EU countries with evidence-based best practices in the field.
