The VEG Impact Myanmar project will contribute towards the growth and development of the vegetable sector in Myanmar and will deliver impact in terms of:• Enhanced local capacities for realising the growth potential of the Myanmar vegetable sector;• Sustainable productivity and income improvements for male and female smallholder vegetable producers;• Increased supplies of safe vegetables to the markets in and around Myanmar.This project exists of the following organisations and companies:• The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Irrigation and its regional research farms as main public sector partner;• The Vegetable Sector Acceleration Taskforce (VSAT) as project’s Steering Committee;• RVO programme VEG CAP (Knowledge-to-knowledge (K2K));• State Agricultural Institutes (SAIs); and• Yezin Agricultural University and local partners (e.g. the Myanmar Onion, Garlic and Culinary Crops Production & Exporting Association; Dagon International and the Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Co., LTD. (MAEX) as owner and manager of the modern Yangon wholesale market for fresh produce).
