Oxfam Novib was founded in 1956 as the Netherlands Organisation for International Assistance (Novib), and joined forces with Oxfam in 1994. Oxfam Novib is member of the Oxfam International confederation. Working together in the confederation, the Oxfam affiliates can speak with one clear and compelling voice on issues of global concern: climate change, health and education for all, agriculture, trade, and conflicts and emergencies. Oxfam Novib's main office is based in The Netherlands, it supports the work of a network of local offices, the implementation of global projects, fundraising, campaigning and advocacy. Oxfam Novib’s the Hague office contributes towards this project’s implementation.

Make a more welcoming world which recognizes that migration is a natural and positive phenomenon that can be managed humanely and in a rights respecting way. OUTCOMES 1. The perspectives, needs and recommendations of local refugee, migrant, host community and women’s rights organisations are deliberately and systematically considered in policymaking. 2. Displaced persons are protected and have access to local and sustainable solutions that take into account their rights and dignity, and that of hosting communities 3. Global, regional and national policies and practices on human mobility are strengthened through a principled and rights-based approach that recognise and harnesses human mobility’s potential for development. 4. The links between displacement and other global issues pertaining to Oxfam’s work, such as climate change, inequalities and civic space, are understood and prioritized by donors, huma
