Hiil Hooyo on useiden toimijoiden yhteistyöhanke joka nostaa pyrkii parantamaan äitiysterveyttä ja alentamaan äitiyskuolleisuutta Somalimaassa Ja Puntmaassa. Hankealueen äitiyskuolleisuus kuuluu maailman korkeimpiin. Hanke edistää naisten ja vammais ten oikeuksia äitiysterveyteen. Hankkeen pilottivaihe alkoi vuonna 2017 ja uusi vaihe pyrkii vakiinnuttamaan saavutetut tulokset. Välittömät tavoitteet hankealueilla:1. Äitiysterveydenhuollon ammattilaisten parantunut ammattitaito ja motivaatio2. Neuv olassa käyvien äitien ja lasten määrä kasvanut3. Vammaisten äitien ja lasten neuvolakäynnit lisääntyneet ja palveluiden saatavuus vammaisille parantunut4. Kumppaniyliopistot pystyvät tarjoamaan itsenäisesti verkko-opintoja äitiysterveydenhuollo sta ja opiskelijat hyötyvät kehitetystä materiaalistaTärkeimmät tulokset ja aktiviteetit:- 240 terveydenhoidon työntekijää suorittanut täydennyskoulutuksen äitiysterveydenhuollossa; 4 koulutusta- 10 000 henkilöä tavoitettu terveyskasvatusohjelm illa; kylävierailut kotikäynnit koulut mediakampanjat isäkerhot- 460 henkilöä koulutettu vammaisten oikeuksista; kouluttajien koulutus työpajat vammaisille ja kumppaneille- 120 yliopisto-opiskelijaa suorittanut verkko-opintokokonaisuuden äitiysterve ydenhuollossa opettajia koulutettu ja kumppaniyliopistoilla aktiiviset ammatilliset verkostot; verkko-kurssit opiskelijoille ja opettajille seminaaritHanketta toteutetaan 3 alueella ja 10 eri distriktissä. Suomen Somalia-verkoston (SSV) kumppaneina hankke essa on 6 kansalaisjärjestöä joista 3 on verkoston jäsenjärjestöjä Suomesta ja 5 oppilaitoskumppania joista 2 (Diak ja Xamk) Suomesta. Lisäksi Vammaiskumppanuus (VK) tarjoaa erityisosaamistaan vammaiskysymyksissä. Innovatiivinen yhteistyömalli va hvistaa hankealueen kansalaisyhteiskuntaa ja edistää vakautta.Edunsaajiin kuuluvat neuvolatyöntekijät raskaana olevat ja imettävät äidit perheineen vammaiset yliopiston luennoitsijat sekä opiskelijat yläkoulujen oppilaat kumppanijärjestöt ja vä lillisesti yhteisöt kaikilla hankealueilla joiden arvioitu väestö on 15 miljoonaa.
Hiil hooyo is a multi-actor joint project addressing maternal healthcare in Somaliland and Puntland. The key development problem is high maternal mortality having multiple negative effects. Maternal mortality rate in the project areas is one of the highest in the world. The project seeks to enhance women's right and the right of persons with disabilities to maternal healthcare. The project started in 2017 with a pilot phase and the new phase aims to make the results sustainable.The main outcomes are:1. Skil ls and motivation of healthcare workers improved2. Number of mothers and children attending MCHs increased3. Attendance and accessibility of persons with disabilities to MCHs increased4. Partner universities able to conduct independently e-learning program in maternal healthcare and students benefitted from the developed materialThe main outputs and activities include:- 240 healthcare workers passed in-service training on maternal healthcare; 4 trainings- 10 000 persons reached by awareness raising programs ; village meetings school classes media campaigns home visits fathers clubs- 460 persons trained on the rights of persons with disabilities; training of trainers workshops- 120 university students passed e-learning program in maternal healthcare teachers t rained and partner universities networking; e-course for students on-line training for teachers joint meetingsThe project is implemented in 10 districts in 3 areas. For the implementation the FSN has 6 NGO partners of which 3 its member organizations in Fi nland and 5 university partners of which 2 (Diak and Xamk) in Finland. In addition the Disability Partnership Finland (DPF) offers expertize for disability issues. The innovative cooperative model enforces the civil society and enhances stability.The benef iciaries of the project include healthcare workers pregnant and breastfeeding mothers with their families persons with disabilities university lecturers and students students in secondary schools the NGO partners and indirectly communities in general in th e project areas with an estimated population of 15 million.
