Algeria's innovation ecosystem for green and digital economic development is strengthened

Ausgangssituation Algeriens Wirtschaft ist von der Erdöl- und Erdgasindustrie dominiert und in vielen Bereichen wettbewerbsschwach. Um diese Herausforderungen zu meistern, muss die algerische Wirtschaft digitaler und grüner werden. Hierfür müssen algerische Kleinst-, kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KKMU), einschließlich Start-ups, innovativer werden. Jedoch leidet das algerische Innovationsökosystem unter mehreren Schwächen: Die Beteiligten arbeiten nicht ausreichend zusammen und die Regierungsinitiativen greifen nicht gut ineinander. Die strukturellen und institutionellen Voraussetzungen, um Innovationen zu fördern, sind nicht ausreichend. Zudem fehlen vielen Unternehmen Kenntnissen und Bewusstsein für digitale und grüne Technologien. Ziel Ein verbessertes Innovationsökosystem fördert die grüne und digitale Wirtschaftsentwicklung in Algerien. Vorgehensweise Das Vorhaben agiert in vier Bereichen: 1. fördert es die Zusammenarbeit im Innovationsökosystem. 2. steigert es die Leistungsfähigkeit der Unterstützungsstrukturen des Ökosystems, wie Finanzierungsquellen und Bildungseinrichtungen. 3. versetzt es KKMU in die Lage, digitale Technologien für Prozesse und Produktion besser zu nutzen. 4. baut es die Kenntnisse der Beteiligten aus. Dies beinhaltet beispielsweise folgende Aktivitäten: - Die Regierung zum institutionellen Rahmen für Start-up- und Innovationsförderung beraten - Eine Gruppe von Berater*innen für algerische KKMU aufbauen, die zu digitalen Technologien für Prozesse und Produktion unterstützt - In der Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft für Innovationsprojekte weiterbilden und beraten Das Vorhaben erhält weitere finanzielle Mittel der Europäischen Union.
