Ausgangssituation: Nach 13 Jahren Krieg und dem Sturz des Regimes in Syrien leiden viele Menschen unter schweren psychischen Symptomen. Der Konflikt hat die Widerstandsfähigkeit der gesamten Bevölkerung verringert. Nach Schätzungen der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) leiden 25 Prozent der Menschen in Konfliktregionen an psychischen Belastungsanzeichen. Schutzbedürftige Bevölkerungsgruppen wie Binnenvertriebene, Kinder, Frauen und Menschen mit Behinderungen sind psychisch besonders belastet. Gleichzeitig fehlen Fachkräfte, um Betroffene zu versorgen. Das Gesundheitssystem kann somit nicht angemessen auf die Bedürfnisse der Bevölkerung reagieren. Ziel: Dienstleister zu psychischer Gesundheit und psychosozialer Unterstützung (MHPSS) sind zu Gesundheit, Bildung, Schutz vulnerabler Gruppen und Vorsorge besser qualifiziert. Zudem ermöglichen lokale Angebote betroffenen Menschen und schutzbedürftigen Gruppen, psychische Belastungen abzubauen. Vorgehensweise: Das Vorhaben bildet psychosoziale Fachkräfte weiter, um Betroffene besser beraten und versorgen zu können. Es unterstützt zudem die Mitarbeiterfürsorge und Supervision am Arbeitsplatz. Supervision ist ein international anerkanntes Instrument zur Unterstützung von Fachpersonal in medizinischen und pädagogischen Arbeitsfeldern. Gleichzeitig steigert das Vorhaben die Fähigkeiten in der externen Supervision und Intervision durch ein intensives Trainingsprogramm. Ausgebildete Supervisoren arbeiten mit Partnerprojekten zusammen, um die MHPSS-Teams praktisch zu unterstützen. Darüber hinaus fördert das Vorhaben Initiativen, die auf vulnerable Gruppen abzielen, zum Beispiel Kinder und Jugendliche mit Behinderungen, Menschen mit schwerer Belastungssymptomen und Gewaltopfer. Ferner berät das Vorhaben zur Integration von MHPSS-bezogenen Themen und Strategien in Syrien.
