marginalized rural and urban communities accessed at least basic, climate-resilient WASH services during emergencies. A functioning WASH sector coordination mechanism was sustained through UNICEF's co-leadership of the Emergency Strategic Advisory Group (ESAG), which met three times in 2025 and enabled timely, coordinated responses to cholera and El Ni?o-related shocks. Through government-led and partner-supported interventions, safe water was provided to 134,284 people, while 85,426 people (women 21,850; men 18,685; girls 23,899; boys 20,992) received critical WASH supplies, reducing immediate public health risks in cholera hotspots and drought-affected areas. Results were achieved through rehabilitation and construction of water points, routine water quality monitoring, distribution of point-of-use water treatment chemicals, and improved sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools and health facilities, alongside targeted capacity strengthening of government systems.
