Norad supports a feasibility study, an environmental and social impact assessment, and a market assessment to assess the viability and market feasibility of our electric cooking products in Ghana. The study will entail conducting extensive pilot sales and marketing pilot to determine cost of cooking fuels, mobile money usage, grid reliability in urban and peri-urban areas, product pricing and preferred customer payment plans and customer cooking behaviour and preferences among others. Through the feasibility study, BURN will identify the best market-based approach to advance the scale-up and uptake of electric cooking in electrified households in Ghana and the larger West African region.
