GB-CHC-313757-DFI024 Voluntary Service Overseas ICS is a development programme that brings together young people aged 18-25 to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. ICS is funded by the Department for International Development and currently works in 22 developing countries across the world.VSO has a dual role on the programme, firstly in management of the programme and consortium as a whole, and secondly in delivering a proportion of the volunteer placements. The ICS 2 contract aims to recruit and train 10,000 UK young people and 10,000 young people from developing countries by February 2019. The contract is dated from September 2015 until February 2019 however actual volunteer delivery began in June 2015, during the tendering process, with VSO operating under a letter of assurance issued by DFID.
