   <narrative xml:lang="EN">March 2025 - The International Committee of the Red Cross&apos; (ICRC) primary mission is to protect the lives and dignity of people affected by armed conflicts and other situations of violence. The ICRC assists and works to prevent further suffering by promoting and strengthening international humanitarian law. The ICRC collaborates with local Red Cross and Red Crescent national society staff and volunteers to implement its protection and assistance programmes worldwide.  With GAC and other donors&#x2019; support, the ICRC&#x2019;s humanitarian operations aim to provide protection, emergency relief, and other essential services to people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. This includes in Syria, West Bank and Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen.  Project activities include: (1) engaging with warring parties on the respect for international humanitarian law; (2) conducting protection activities to support those protected under international humanitarian law; (3) assisting people affected by conflict and violence by providing medical care, income support, and food assistance; (4) working and abiding by the fundamental principles such as neutrality, impartiality, and independence, with all stakeholders; and (5) negotiating safe access to populations in need.</narrative>
   <narrative xml:lang="FR">Mars 2025 - La principale mission du Comit&#xe9; international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) est de prot&#xe9;ger la vie et la dignit&#xe9; des personnes touch&#xe9;es par des conflits arm&#xe9;s et d&apos;autres situations de violence. Le CICR apporte son aide et s&apos;efforce de pr&#xe9;venir de nouvelles souffrances en promouvant et en renfor&#xe7;ant le droit international humanitaire. Le CICR collabore avec le personnel et les volontaires des soci&#xe9;t&#xe9;s nationales de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge pour mettre en &#x153;uvre ses programmes de protection et d&apos;assistance dans le monde entier.  Avec le soutien du AMC et d&apos;autres donateurs, les op&#xe9;rations humanitaires du CICR visent &#xe0; fournir une protection, des secours d&apos;urgence et d&apos;autres services essentiels aux personnes touch&#xe9;es par des conflits arm&#xe9;s et d&apos;autres situations de violence. Les pays concern&#xe9;s sont notamment la Syrie, la Cisjordanie, Gaza, et le Y&#xe9;men. Elle cherche &#xe9;galement &#xe0; promouvoir le respect du droit international humanitaire.  Les activit&#xe9;s du projet comprennent : 1) s&apos;engager avec les parties bellig&#xe9;rantes sur le respect du droit international humanitaire; 2) mener des activit&#xe9;s de protection pour soutenir les personnes prot&#xe9;g&#xe9;es par le droit international humanitaire; 3) aider les personnes touch&#xe9;es par le conflit et la violence en leur fournissant des soins m&#xe9;dicaux, une aide au revenu et une assistance alimentaire; 4) travailler et respecter les principes fondamentaux tels que la neutralit&#xe9;, l&apos;impartialit&#xe9; et l&apos;ind&#xe9;pendance, avec toutes les parties prenantes; 5) n&#xe9;gocier un acc&#xe8;s s&#xfb;r aux populations dans le besoin.</narrative>

     <narrative xml:lang="FR">Les r&#xe9;sultats attendus de ce projet comprennent : 1) une meilleure connaissance du droit international humanitaire par les porteurs d&apos;armes; 2) la prise en charge des besoins de protection des populations vuln&#xe9;rables, notamment les civils, les d&#xe9;tenus, les otages, les disparus et leurs familles, les enfants s&#xe9;par&#xe9;s par les conflits et les victimes de violences sexuelles; 3) le soutien aux civils touch&#xe9;s par les conflits arm&#xe9;s par le biais d&apos;une assistance pertinente telle que la nourriture, les services de sant&#xe9;, le soutien aux moyens de subsistance et d&apos;autres services essentiels; 4) le renforcement des capacit&#xe9;s op&#xe9;rationnelles des soci&#xe9;t&#xe9;s nationales de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge.  Le r&#xe9;sultat final attendu est de sauver des vies, d&apos;all&#xe9;ger les souffrances et de pr&#xe9;server la dignit&#xe9; humaine dans les pays confront&#xe9;s aux crises humanitaires dues aux conflits arm&#xe9;s.</narrative>
     <narrative xml:lang="EN">The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased international humanitarian law knowledge of weapons bearers; (2) attended to vulnerable population&#x2019;s protection needs including civilians, detainees, hostages, missing and their families, children separated by conflicts and victims of sexual violence; (3) supported civilians affected by armed conflicts with relevant assistance such as  food, health services, livelihood support, and other essential services; and (4) increased operational capacities of the Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies.  The expected ultimate outcome is lives saved, suffering alleviated, and human dignity maintained in countries experiencing humanitarian crises due to armed conflict.</narrative>
