The main objective of this project by UNICEF is to provide WASH interventions for flood affected individuals in the state of Kerela. UNICEF will address immediate water and sanitation needs including the quick rehabilitation of 300 sceptic through the clean, disinfecting and desludging of effected facilities. UNICEF will also ensure safe and sustainable drinking water supply for 500,000 individuals through the cleaning and rehabilitation of 1000 wells and provision of 170 water treatment filtration systems. Some 1 million people will be reached over 6 months.
