The main objective of this project is to contribute to provide safe and reliable water supply for conflict displaced IDPs and host communities in the Somali and Oromia regions. UNICEF will use CERF funds to provide water trucking for 170,000 IDPs/host communities in Oromia region for a period of 5 months; deploy 20 Emergency WASH Mobile Teams to maintain and carry out rapid repair of water supply systems benefitting 270,000 people; and expand water supply systems in 30 IDP areas and their host communities in Somali and Oromia regions. 370,000 people will benefit from this project, which will be implemented within six months.
