DESCRIPTION
The goal of the project is to increase the transparency of both the public and private sectors in Georgia, as well as to strengthen the awareness and engagement of Georgian citizens. The partner organization Transparency International Georgia has long pointed out the low transparency of private companies often registered in tax havens with an unknown ownership structure. This situation makes it difficult for public oversight of the expenditure of public resources and also strengthens the environment for money laundering and corruption. The secondary goal of the project is to strengthen the community-building and fundraising potential of the partner organization TI Georgia.
