Il programma mira a migliorare le infrastrutture igienico-sanitarie di Addis Abeba e almeno 4 piccole e medie città selezionate in tutto il paese. Il partner attuatore sarà il Fondo per lo sviluppo delle risorse idriche (WRDF), l'ufficio all'interno del Ministero dell'Economia etiopico responsabile per i progetti idrici e fognari nelle aree urbane. Il programma avrà due componenti: la componente di prestito agevolato sarà utilizzata per la costruzione di infrastrutture, mentre la componente di sovvenzione sarà utilizzata per lo sviluppo di capacità per tutte le parti interessate coinvolte e per i piani di studio di fattibilità e di risanamento. La modalità di attuazione avverrà attraverso il meccanismo del fondo di rotazione istituito presso il WRDF. I prestiti saranno erogati alle Town Water and Sanitation Utilities per il finanziamento di infrastrutture igienico-sanitarie.

General
The Programme aims at improving the sanitation infrastructures in Addis Abeba and at least 4 selected small and medium towns country wide. The implementing partner will be the Water Resources Development Fund (WRDF), the office within the Ethiopian Ministry of Water responsible for water and sanitation projects in urban areas. The Programme will have two components: the soft loan component will be used for infrastructure construction while the grant component will be used for capacity building for all stakeholders involved and for feasibility study and sanitation master plans. The implementation modality will be through the revolving fund mechanism established at WRDF. Loans will be given to the selected Town Water and Sanitation Utilities for financing sanitation infrastructures.
