Building on the first Enhancing Vanuatu’s Ability to Seek Accreditation and Direct Access to the GCF Project, this project (Phase 2) will take the next steps necessary to support the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management in its accreditation to the GCF, including:1: Capacity building1.1: NDA strengthening• NDA SOPs for AEs to interact with GoV• NAB Sec climate finance coordination tools (e.g., web-based platform, visual database, ‘big picture’ overview)• National stakeholder meeting(s) with subnational authorities, private sector, civil society, and AEs1.2: DAE accreditation• PMU for MFEM (DoFT)• Develop an Accreditation Strategy• Application for DP/DAE• MOUs/MOAs with GoV agencies to meet ESS, and Gender criteria (e.g. DWA, DEPC)Completion of FMCA gaps and recommendations to meet basic and specialised fiduciary criteria
