(i) Design a system for the official identification of livestock with the following attributes: a. The system should enable accurate individual identification of large animals (cattle, goat, sheep, breeding pigs and deer in feedlot) as well as batch identification of poultry, and fattening pigs and identification of beehives. b. The system should enable linkage between animals/batches with a specific farm location c. The system should be linked to an information system d. The system should adhere to applicable international norms with a view to enable its certification at a later stage. (ii) Recommend on the information technology infrastructure required for the effective implementation of the system. (iii) Identify the appropriate and most cost effective technology to be used (iv) Determine requirements in terms of training and equipment
