State based non-judicial mechanisms compatible with UNGPs are being adopted. Company-level grievance mechanisms compatible with UNGPs are being used. Businesses are interested in/are putting Operational Grievance Mechanism (OGM) in place. During 2020, ECD (Environmental Conservation Department) continued to issue Environmental Compliance Certificates requiring projects to have an OGM (Operational Grievance Mechanism) complaint with Article 31 of the UNGPs. MCRB continued to present the MPRL OGM as an example of best practice in training on OGMs. In 2021, the work with government was paused from 1 February onwards. MCRB had not been able to determine. There were no example documented in 2021, although the risks associated with grievance mechanisms, and company practices on rights-holder engagement were discussed in MCRB's work on heightened due diligence and advice to companies, particularly in the garment sector. In 2021, two CSO networking discussions were organized to support the civil society to engage with business Capacity-building and networking for civil society groups on issues relevant to business/investment.
