Providing nutritious lunch is an important feature of Escuela Adelante. For some students, this may be the most nutrition they get all day. We currently make do with the small kitchen that was already on-site when we moved, but it's far from adequate for our expanding student body. The learning kitchen and garden will help Escuela Adelante impart food education and environmental education through project-based learning. The students take part in growing, harvesting, and preparing food.
