DESCRIPTION
Smallholder farmeers in Ukraine are supported with high quality seeds with which to restore or maintain cereal and legume crop prouction. FAO contributes to the protection of individuals from gender-based violence and sexual exploitation and abuse as part of its efforts to restore and promote sustainable livelihoods, such as mitigating gender discrimination in participation, decision-making and access to productive resources. In the current context of conscription, women-led farms are under increased pressure and additional measures will be adopted to support female farmers who face multiple compounding barriers in the agriculture sector that have been exacerbated by the war. Women-led households will be prioritized.
