The project will support civil society alliances to effectively cooperate with Government, and advocate for and monitor development and implementation of policies and laws that reduce alcohol- and drug- related harm; that strengthen, protect and promote the rights of children and women, at national and community level. It will also equip marginalised youth with employable skills and mobilise community groups and farmer-based organisations to secure income through savings and loans schemes. Furthermore, the project will continue FoRUT’s well-established programme and methodology for promotion of crops and farming practices that are less vulnerable to the on-going climate change in Sierra Leone.
