Aim of the initiative is to contribute to a pacific, democratic, just and free society where the media (traditional and digital) enjoy fundamental role as guardians and promotors of citizenship, accountable governance, and are sources of credible information for its citizens. The objectives are two-fold (i) to promote and uphold political and legal environment where freedom of expression and the press are respected, the citizens, journalists and activists do their work without fear and or intimidation; (ii) to guarantee that the media (traditional and new) investigate, verify and produce credible, facts-based information which promotes development and the exercise of citizenship in Mozambique.
