DESCRIPTION
The main activity (hereafter the activity) that will be carried out under the duration of the small-scale agreement between Norad and IMR is the work with a programme document for the next phase of the cooperation with Mozambique under the Oceans for Development programme in Mozambique. The grant will cover expenses in connection with IMR`s deliveries in the preparation of the programme document. IMR will also, in cooperation with Norad, arrange a workshop in Norway in the fall 2022. The grant will cover the expenses for Mozambique to participate in the workshop. This activity is a follow up from the conclusions from the fact-finding mission in Mozambique carried out this spring. In the report from the mission (where IMR contributed) it was made a road map for the cooperation between the Mozambican and the Norwegian institution involved in the Ocean for Development cooperation in Mozambique. The programme document will be made in cooperation between the Norwegian and the Mozambican Institutions involved in the cooperation under the Oceans for Development programme in Mozambique. This Agreement also covers the participation of two experts from the Directorate of Fisheries in the Activity. The programme document will serve as a long-term basis for the cooperation between Norway and Mozambique under the Ocean for Development Programme in Mozambique. The Programme Document will identify activities of cooperation that will promote a strengthened, sustainable and inclusive ocean economy in Mozambique. The activities carried out under this fund shall be implemented in accordance with the Agreement between Norad and IMR, including the budget attached as annex A to the Agreement between Norad and IMR.
