A1 To provide support to the implementing agencies of the Dutch WASH Strategy 2016-2030 to improve the transparancy of their work. B1 To maintain and build new partnerships with national governments in developing countries and with UN agencies to support the delivery of sustainable WASH Services; B2 To collaborate, share and contribute to global fora relating to open data and innovation C1 To maintain and build new partnerships with regional organisations (River Basin Management Authorities), CSO and NGO's and the private sector to support the delivery of sustainable WASH services. C2 To engage in regional partnerships to improve data sharing and monitoring process for sustainable development.

Mobilising Data for Sustainable Development

"The D2D Partnerships project is one of the 9 child-projects of the Akvo Data to Decision project. The activities within the D2D Partnerships project focus on maintaining and building new partnerships with national governments in the target countries and UN agencies, CSOs/NGOs and the private sectors that can support the delivery of sustainable WASH services in these countries. With the support of DGIS, Akvo will engage in regional partnerships to improve data sharing and monitoring processes for sustainable development. Akvo has commenced discussions with the Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) monitoring taskforce, the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI), the Joint Monitoring Programme of UNICEF and WHO, the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCoW), the Urban Water Hub and a number of regional water hubs and initiatives. Akvo’s global presence and network also places it in a unique position to engage further with the private sector and establish new and innovative consortia. Akvo will continue to collaborate, share and contribute to regional and global fora relating to open data and innovation in international development, disseminating the knowledge and expertise gained in its activities."
