Oxfam Novib is one of the 17 national affiliates of the Oxfam International Confederation. It started life in 1956 as the Netherlands Organisation for International Assistance (Novib), and joined forces with Oxfam in 1994. Working together in confederation, the Oxfam affiliates can speak with one clear and compelling voice on issues of global concern: climate change, health and education for all, agriculture, trade, and conflicts and emergencies. Oxfam Novibs main office is based in The Netherlands, it supports the work of a network of local offices, the implementation of global projects, fund raising, campaigning and advocacy. The Hub Niamey Niger exists since 2006 as a humanitarian field office and since 2012 as the decentralized Country office for Oxfam Novib, dealing with all the development and humanitarian themes like Sustainable livelihoods, Right to Basic services, Humanitarian and resilience interventions, The right to be heard and the right to an Identity, including women's rights and sexual and reproductive health rights. The Country Office in Niger works with local partners to realize the vision of a Niger without poverty

Oxfam in Niger intends to submit for funding by ECHO in the framework of this HIP 2024 interventions in the Themes falling within the framework of the multi-sectoral response on : Protection, Food Assistance, Nutrition and WASH.- For the Protection component, theHP priorities on which Oxfam in Niger and its potential partners will position themselves are (i) prevention and response to victims of human rights violations, including survivors of GBV and children affected by armed conflict; (holistic case management), (ii) psychological first aid for victims, (iii) promotion and respect for International Human Rights, Human Rights and Refugee Law.- For the Food Assistance component, HIP priority in Niger is given to actions addressing the most acute needs not otherwise addressed and justifying food assistance in relation to (i) a conflict-related shock and/or (ii) seasonality in areas affected by conflict dynamics.- For the WASH component, Oxfam Niger will position itself to help achieve the objectives of HIP 2024, which aims to cover the acute needs of populations (displaced persons and hosts) affected by conflict dynamics and/or epidemics. Oxfam Niger will work particularly on WASH interventions linked to Nutrition.
