Oxfam Novib is one of the 17 national affiliates of the Oxfam International Confederation. It started life in 1956 as the Netherlands Organisation for International Assistance (Novib), and joined forces with Oxfam in 1994. Working together in confederation, the Oxfam affiliates can speak with one clear and compelling voice on issues of global concern: climate change, health and education for all, agriculture, trade, and conflicts and emergencies. Oxfam Novibs main office is based in The Netherlands, it supports the work of a network of local offices, the implementation of global projects, fund raising, campaigning and advocacy. The Hub Niamey Niger exists since 2006 as a humanitarian field office and since 2012 as the decentralized Country office for Oxfam Novib, dealing with all the development and humanitarian themes like Sustainable livelihoods, Right to Basic services, Humanitarian and resilience interventions, The right to be heard and the right to an Identity, including women's rights and sexual and reproductive health rights. The Country Office in Niger works with local partners to realize the vision of a Niger without poverty

General
Integrated response to the urgent priority needs of internally displaced people and hosts affected by the security and climate crises in Diffa, Niger. Niger and the HRP 2023, the aim of the project is to meet the priority needs of women and men affectedby the security and climate crises, by improving food and nutritional security and strengthening people's ability to protect themselves in theDiffa region of Niger. The 16-month project will be implemented by Oxfam and Garkua in the communes of Bosso andToumour (Bosso department) and will target a total of 15,000 people (9,000 women and 6,000 men). Through this project, Oxfam and Garkua hope to generate the following positive impacts on the people of the Diffa region: 1) Strengthen food and nutritionalsecurity for 12,500 people (7,500 women and 5,000 men); 2) Improve access to community protection services for 2,500 people (1,500 women and 1,000 men).
