General
Recently, the socio-economic have grown and the government has a strategy of opening up to large investment to attract domestic andforeign direct invest in various sectors such as mining, electricity, including food, production and services. Investors in labor groups and other enterprises are therefore required to employ personnel in their industry, whether Lao or foreign. The fact that both the labor force and the labor market are expanding also leads to workers' desire to take on more jobs. Therefore, the government should get involved in encouraging business owners and employees to understand and work in harmony in order to address the issues of people exploiting their own interests, which is the root of labor disputes and the government needs to have policies and resources to formally and properly oversee and safeguard them. Families of farmers make up the majority of the workforce. The understanding ofrules and regulations is limited, particularly the understanding of labor management. The possibility of being exploited by the state exists. The Department of Labor Management is acting in accordance with its mandate to safeguard the rights and interests of workers both inside and outside the system, and as a result, the government views the work of social protection, which puts the rights and interests of workers first, as the primary issue. Legislation has occasionally been written or changed in the past to keep up with changes in the economy and in society. Therefore, what can be done is to promote social protection work for employees to be more and more in the sub-region and internationally, as well as to preserve and manage the rights and interests of workers under the laws of the Lao PDR, especially the legislation on labor and other regulations linked to labor. In order to gradually reduce labor problems or labor disputes and to strengthen the labor management sector, central and local partners, employees, workers to be resolute in protecting their rights and interests and the whole people as well as in Lao society.
