Regarding improving livelihoods for people in residential areas affected by mining:
- The project will select sustainable agricultural and forestry production development models, promoting local potentials and strengths to produce goods along the value chain. Truong Xuan and Tien Hoa are mountainous and midland communes with many natural forests with many valuable products such as wild bamboo shoots, rattan, and medicinal plants that can createhigher product values through perfecting sustainable exploitation processes, perfecting product processing to ensure quality, registering product brands and accessing the market. Promoting the advantages of exploiting non-timber forest products creates jobs andincreases income for people working in the forest. Support economic development under the forest canopy associated with sustainableforest protection in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, protect the ecological environment, and minimize the impact of climate change.

For Truong Xuan commune, which is a mountainous commune with an area of natural forest land with many bamboo shoot products, people often exploit andsell them at low value, thus supporting to increase the value of bamboo shoot products to help create jobs and increase income for villagers in the area of bamboo exploitation.
