Arlaadi Environment and Human Rights Organization - AEHRO is an independent Voluntary non government, non partisan and non profit organization established to address the multi layered constraints and causes of poverty, environmental worsening and climatic challenges in Somalia's South west State as well as to reduce the occurrence of catastrophes and cope with disaster aftermath and negative impact on poverty. The vision of AEHRO “Is enhanced resilience to climate change and improved agricultural production through environmentally and economically sustainable means” and Society free from any kind of violence. The mission of AEHRO “Is to combat poverty-related events, promote food and nutrition security, and increase economic growth through long-term strategies by advocating, raising awareness, promoting good governance and democracy, promoting peace and justice.”The goal of AEHRO is to contribute and improve the living standard of the vulnerable communities of Southwest State regions through community mobilization, capacity building, information sharing, data gathering, advocacy <(>&<)> strengthening of the society at the grass root level.

Oxfam/Somalia/land is implementing a programme in Somalia with the goal of amplifying and supporting the voices of the most vulnerable groups and their capacity within the context of the climate emergency. The strategic objective of the AACJ programme isto mobilize citizens, companies, and governments to advance climate justice, specifically contributing to: 1. Amplified voices of people who are disproportionately affected by the changing climate, offering solutions for a more sustainable future, such as women, youth, andlocal and indigenous communities. 2. African narratives that highlight lived experiences of women, youth, and local and indigenous communities impacted by climate change, helping to change the terms of the debate on climate change. 3. Policy and practice changes that prevent adverse impacts of climate change, support communities already affected, and enable the transition to more sustainable,low-carbon economies, leaving no one behind. Objectives. • Identify and showcase climateaction initiatives across Somalia/land, especially those led by women, marginalized groups, and youth. - Produce and distribute a film/documentary showcasing these stories with Somali language narration and English subtitles or dubbing. • Facilitate anddevelop an open, transparent mechanism for selecting social influencers /Climate activist who will contribute to climate action in Somalia. • Facilitate public debates on climate justice topics, including economic development in the context of climatechange. Scope of Work Some of the indicative activities include the following, however, the CSO /CBOs will propose the activities based on the local contexts. • Identifying Inspiring Stories/Initiatives: Document inspiring climate action initiatives, focusing on those led by women, marginalized groups, and youth. Engage with local communities for diverse representation. • Facilitating Climate Action Social Influencers: Establish a transparent mechanism to select climate action influencers and supporttheir initiatives. • Organizing Public Debates on Climate Justice: Collaborate with think tanks and experts to organize debates on climate justice, focusing on economic growth under climate change. Deliverables • Documentary or short film with Englishsubtitles or dubbing inspiring climate action initiatives, focusing on those led by women, marginalized groups, and youth. Engage with local communities for diverse representation. • Detailed criteria (Transparent mechanism) for selecting climate actioninfluencers. • Documented Series of public debates on climate justice. • One final financial and Narrative report. Expected Outputs • 2 types of connections/events reuniting civil society organizations and networks. • 2 types of climate justice narratives developed and spread. • 85 people involved in actions, disaggregated by gender, age, disability, and indigenous status. Expected Outcomes • Stronger connections among movements of women, youth, and indigenous communities. • Documented andadopted locally shaped climate solutions. • Amplified voices of grassroots communities. • Enhanced capacity of local communities on climate change topics.
