Implementing Regional NGO
General
Communication on Taxation of online tech companies in Africa, increasing, through media work, the level of awareness to make sure that governments close loopholes or join conversation in taxation of the digital industry. Based upon this Money Trail article (https://iwatchafrica.org/2020/03/04/how-multinational-tech-companies-exploit-tax-laws-and-shift-profit-a-focus-on-ghana-and-nigeria/), TJN-Africa is planning to work with a regional media houses that have a presence in various countries or can partnerwith other media houses, to adapt the story to their own settings. By this, we mean, the story being picked for TV or radio, with interviews facilitated by TJNA. A social media element to it and production of communication such as infographics, etc will also be added. TJN-Africa will work with four member organizations and the media contacts in their countries. TJNA would coordinate the plan and help with the execution and a collective social media campaign.
