FASOA is a non-government, independent association, registered with Ministry of Interior, non-political or individual or group of conspirators, and non-religious discrimination. In October 2013 under facilitation and technical support from HelpAge-Cambodia, FASOAwas established and have been working with older people association and their members especially older women, women with disability, poor and poorest family and community on social work included gender and disability, agriculture, revolving fund, income generation and strengthening OPA committee#s and sub-committee#s capacity on leadership, management, financial management, bookkeeping and technical support for facilitation, coordination and problem solving. FASOA and 7 other federations work as partner with HelpAge-Cambodia, stakeholders, local authority and government at sub-national level especially Provincial Department of Social Affairs, Veteransand Youth Rehabilitation (PoSVY), Provincial Department of Women Affairs (PWA), Provincial Department of Health (PHD) and other to support OPA and their members, mainstreaming gender or women and people with disability empowerment in order to enable opportunity, and voice their problem, concern and need in community development, commune investmentplan and call for supports from duty bearer. Vision: Older people in Cambodia live with dignity, hopefulness, no isolation and working together in order to advocate with government and NGO to bring benefit to older people. Objective: - Enhance good collaboration with government and stakeholders to get supportand increase older people#s livelihood, right and economic. - Strengthen OPA committees and sub-committees to have better plan and achievement.
