General
Since October 2015, some 60 feminist organizations have organized themselves as National Coalition of Association for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls (CNAV). The positive record of this coalition, which largely contributed to the adoption on July 26 of the integral law, motivated the decision of the members to continue its actions and to extend its mandate beyond the adoption of the law. Oxfam's role as advocacy and co-ordinator of this coalition was welcomed by coalition members and renewed. This intervention will allow the coalition to continue to play a major role in the implementation of this law in Tunis, including its popularization and monitoring of implementation, as well as the work on social attitudes and norms in order to minimize the resistance thatexists. could hinder its implementation.
