Hanoi Law University, formerly Hanoi Legal Studies University, was established on 10 November 1979 in accordance with Decision 405/CP of the Council of Ministers, which merged the Faculty of Legal Studies, Hanoi University and the Vietnam Legal Studies College. Hanoi Law University is a research-oriented university, having a mission to provide high quality legal human resources for the country, to offer the State, society and people excellent legal research works and services and to actively participate in law and policy development and social criticism, contributing to the development of a socialist rule-of-law State and international integration. Hanoi Law University#s vision is to be a #focal point# university in legal education and training legal officials in Vietnam, pursuing the goal of becoming a Vietnam#s reputable law training institution and leading centre for legal research and spreading legal research, being renowned in Southeast Asia. Over the years, Hanoi Law University has been constantly developed in all aspects, becoming the largest legal training and research centre in Vietnam. The University has made a significant contribution to the developmentof the justice sector of the country. It has actively participated in law-making,legal dissemination and education, legal research and other practical activities. Currently, the University is among the best legal training and research institutions in Vietnam withoutstanding quality, remarkable capacity and high reputation.

Project "Raising awareness and strengthening legal support regarding child violence and sexual abuse for communities in Hanoi, Hoa Binh and Nghe An provinces", with the participation of lawyers, project procurators; contributes in: # Preventing and minimizing therisk of children being abused and sexually abused (primary prevention) and detecting, minimizing or eliminating the risk of child abuse and violence (early intervention) . # Developing new subject called "Law on the prevention of violence and child sexual abuse" for students of Hanoi Law University Specific activities include: # Providing trainings on" Warning measures for child violence andsexual abuse" for their parents (carers) by lawyers and prosecutors. # Providing intensive trainings conducted by lawyers, prosecutors on developing skills in sharing knowledge about "Warning signs of violence and sexual abuse of children" for community leaders. # Giving advice on violence and sexual abuse of children (including medical care, community integration) # Providing legal aid for children who have experienced violence or sexual abuse. # Developing new subject called "Law on prevention of violence and sexualabuse of children" for students of Hanoi Law University.
