The Fair Finance Vietnam (FFV) initiative is coordinated by Oxfam in Vietnam to promote commitments on policies and practices following the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, made by financial institutions such as commercial banks, developmentbanks, etc. The initiative also brings in the voices of the communities in the areas where these financial institutions invest on. Since then, the initiative encourages everyone to contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and environmental commitments in the Paris agreement. In 2021, within the framework of the Fair Finance Vietnam Initiative with the support of Oxfam Vietnam, the Center for Water Resources Conservation and Development (WARECOD) conducted a field study about the environmental and social responsibility in the Dakdrinh hydropower project. The study aims to learn about the roles and environmental and social responsibilities of the related parties, from then to recommend solutions to ensure sustainable living for local people. The new study has only focused on community feedback; however, it has not had a comprehensive perspective from local government agencies. The KonTum Science and Technology Associations was established on March 31, 2006, according to Decision No. 173/QD-CT of the Provincial People's Committee. The Association has the task of consulting, criticizing, and assessing the community in order to collect and provide information, documents, and from there to provide analysis, evaluation and recommendations for proposal adjustments, construction, appraisal, approval and completion of the project. This provides great support to implement the project with high efficiency.
