Improving access to water in the village of Ziwas, in the Assaba region of Mauritania. The project will provide safe drinking water directly to 5,280 inhabitants (2,746 women) of the village, effectively improving sanitation and reducing prevalence of water-born diseases. The water borehole will be equipped with a solar-power system, which will ensure sustainability to the project outcomes and use of renewable energy sources.
