DESCRIPTION
This project is aimed to improve access to justice, denouncing human rights violations, institutional weaknesses and lack of Rule of Law in Honduras. Advocacy initiatives against impunity will be promoted, specially related to natural resources, land and territory rights. Also, Human Rights Defenders' work will be supported through alliances with local, national and international networks, accompaniment, training and research. As a result of these actions, a deeper analysis and debate on human rights situation will be disseminated. As in previous projects, partner will continue being part of the following alliances: a) Coalition against Impunity, an initiative for national articulation of 30 human rights organisations; b) Monitoring Committee to comply with the Resolutions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights; c) Social Movement Platform of Honduras: 20 organisations developing an agenda in defence of natural resources. At organisational level, FUNDAERIC is continually developing internal training processes and self-assessments that identify improvement areas and priority actions. The following institutional areas will be supported through this project: - Strategic Planning 2018-2021. M&E will ensure that project responds to the long-term objectives. - Gender Policy. - Code of ethics. - Administrative Manual improvement - Institutional Security Plan adjustment.
