Ilmatieteen laitoksen toteuttama meteorologian alan IKI-hanke Uzbekistanin kansallisen laitoksen Uzhydrometin kanssa vuosina 2022-2025. Hankkeessa on tarkoitus vahvistaa Uzhydrometin kapasiteettia ja modernisoida alaa sekä kouluttaa henkilöstöä. Uzhyd rometin kapasiteetin vahvistamisella pyritään parempaan luonnonkatastrofien ennakointiin sekä parempaan tiedon saatavuuteen. Hanke edistää ilmastonmuutokseen sopeutumista ja ilmastokestävyyttä. Hankkeen budjetti on 2 000 000 euroa.

The Finnish Meteorolgical Institute will implement a project with the national institute of Uzbekistan Uzhydromet during the years 2022 -2025. In the project the capacity of Uzhydromet will be strengthened and modernized and the staff will be trained. Uz hydrome?s capacity will be strengthened to better anticipate natural disasters and to improve the availability of the information services. The project promotes adapting to climate change and climate sustainability. The budget of the project is EUR 2 000 000.
