KMU Entwicklungsgesellschaft Marokko
Morocco's economy has experienced overall positive growth, but fluctuations and high unemployment persist, with SMEs being crucial in stabilizing growth and job creation. To address the financing gap hindering SMEs' growth, the PME Croissance equity fund was initiated in 2012 by the Moroccan government, aiming to provide capital and support for SMEs. Managed by the experienced private fund management company AfricInvest, alongside its Moroccan office MarocInvest, the fund focuses on investing in promising SMEs, assisting in their establishment, expansion, and transition to corporations. With commitments totalling MAD 452 million (about EUR 41 million), the fund has invested in 13 SMEs with turnovers below MAD 100 million (approximately EUR 9 million), with a lifespan set until 2024.

Die marokkanische Wirtschaft verzeichnet insgesamt ein positives Wachstum, ist jedoch nach wie vor von Schwankungen und hoher Arbeitslosigkeit geprägt, wobei KMU eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Stabilisierung des Wachstums und der Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen spielen. Um die Finanzierungslücke zu schließen, die das Wachstum der KMU behindert, hat die marokkanische Regierung 2012 den Eigenkapitalfonds PME Croissance aufgesetzt, der Kapital und Unterstützung für KMU bereitstellen soll. Der Fonds wird von der erfahrenen privaten Fondsverwaltungsgesellschaft AfricInvest in Zusammenarbeit mit ihrer marokkanischen Tochtergesellschaft MarocInvest verwaltet und konzentriert sich auf Investitionen in vielversprechende KMU, um deren Gründung, Expansion und Umwandlung in Unternehmen zu unterstützen. Mit Zusagen von insgesamt 452 Mio. MAD (ca. 41 Mio. EUR) hat der Fonds in 13 KMU mit einem Umsatz von weniger als 100 Mio. MAD (ca. 9 Mio. EUR) investiert, wobei die Laufzeit bis 2024 reicht.
