Ce projet vise à accroître les droits relatifs à la santé, notamment à la santé sexuelle et reproductive des femmes, hommes, filles et garçons affectés par les conflits dans le Centre Nord du Burkina Faso. Le projet contribue au Plan de préparation et de riposte à l’épidémie de la COVID-19 au Burkina Faso. Il vise à renforcer les capacités des systèmes de santé dans le Centre Nord du Burkina Faso pour mieux répondre à la pandémie et aider à prévenir et gérer les futures épidémies. Les activités de ce projet comprennent : 1) renforcer les capacités des travailleuses et travailleurs de la santé à répondre aux épidémies, notamment la COVID-19 et d’entreprendre des activités de communication dans les communautés. Ce, pour réduire la transmission locale dans le cadre d’une réponse intégrée face aux maladies transmissibles; 2) fournir de l’assistance technique aux autorités sanitaires pour répondre et gérer les épidémies, y compris la COVID-19; 3) appuyer les campagnes de vaccination dans la région de mise en œuvre du projet, notamment celle contre la COVID-19.
This project contributes to the respect of the right to health, including sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls affected by the conflict in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso. The project contributes to the COVID-19 epidemic preparedness and response plan in Burkina Faso. It aims to build the capacity of healthcare systems in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso to better respond to the pandemic and help prevent and manage future epidemics. Projects activities include: (1) building the capacity of health workers to respond to epidemics, including COVID-19, and to undertake communication activities in communities. This is to reduce local transmission as part of an integrated response to infectious diseases; (2) providing technical assistance to health authorities to respond to and manage epidemics, including COVID-19; and (3) supporting vaccination campaigns in the project area, particularly against COVID-19.

Les résultats escomptés de ce projet comprennent : 1) amélioration de l'accès équitable à des soins de santé primaire de qualité, y compris en matière de santé sexuelle et reproductive. Les bénéficiaires sont les populations touchées par le conflit dans le Centre Nord du Burkina Faso, en particulier les femmes et les filles; 2) amélioration de l'environnement social et communautaire en faveur du droit à la santé. Ce qui concerne, particulièrement, les droits sexuels et reproductifs et à l'égalité des sexes, pour les femmes et les filles du Centre Nord du Burkina Faso.
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) improved equitable access to quality primary healthcare, including sexual and reproductive health. Beneficiaries are conflict-affected populations in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso, in particular women and girls; and (2) improved social and community environment in favor of the right to health. This concerns, in particular, sexual and reproductive rights and gender equality for women and girls in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso.

Parmi les résultats obtenus jusqu’en mars 2023: 1) distribué 72 kits de prévention et de contrôle des infections aux formations sanitaires; 2) 6 formations sanitaires sur 12 évaluées offrent des soins de santé primaires de qualité. Ce, dans le respect des droits à la sécurité incluant la prévention contre les infections, à la confidentialité et à la non-discrimination; 3) formé 31 prestataires de santé, dont 14 femmes et 17 hommes, sur la gestion des épidémies et la préparation aux réponses rapides en santé lors d’une urgence humanitaire.
Results achieved as of March 2023 include: (1) distributed 72 infection prevention and control kits to health facilities; (2) 6 out of 12 health facilities assessed offer quality primary health care. This was achieved while respecting the rights to safety, including infection prevention, confidentiality, and non-discrimination; and (3) trained 31 healthcare providers, including 14 women and 17 men, in epidemic management and preparedness for rapid health responses during humanitarian emergencies.
