Le Programme canadien de bourses de la Francophonie (PCBF) vise à former des personnes afin de renforcer les capacités institutionnelles nécessaires au développement durable de leur pays. Il s’adresse aux 37 pays en développement membres de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). Les activités du projet comprennent : 1) offrir des formations universitaires, notamment de maîtrise et de doctorat, et professionnelles, au Canada en fonction des priorités de formation des pays bénéficiaires; 2) mettre à jour le site web et les espaces de médias sociaux offrant des possibilités de visibilité et d’échange pour les boursiers et boursières; 3) appuyer les boursiers et les boursières dans leurs programmes, par le biais d’activités ciblées, d’ateliers et de webinaires. Cette phase du programme ne comporte pas de nouveau recrutement et doit permettre aux boursiers et boursières sélectionnés dans la phase VI, de la période 2015-2020, de compléter leurs études.
The Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) aims to train individuals to build the institutional capacities needed for sustainable development in their country. It targets the 37 developing countries that are members of the International Organization of La Francophonie. Project activities include: (1) offering university studies leading to a master’s and doctoral degree and vocational training in Canada, in accordance to the training priorities of beneficiary countries; (2) updating the website and media spaces for visibility and exchange opportunities for scholars; and (3) supporting scholars in their programs, through targeted activities, workshops and webinars. This phase of the Program does not include new recruitment and will allow selected scholars in phase VI (2015-2020) to complete their studies.

Les résultats escomptés de ce projet comprennent : 1) réinsertion effective des boursiers et boursières qui sont en mesure d’effectuer le transfert de leurs connaissances et compétences dans les institutions partenaires; 2) influence et positionnement accrus des femmes et des hommes, plus particulièrement des femmes, dans les institutions des pays bénéficiaires du PCBF.
The expected results of this project include: (1) effective re-integration of scholars (women and men) that are able to transfer their knowledge and skills in partner institutions; and (2) increased influence and positioning of women and men, particularly women, within the institutions of CFSP beneficiary countries.

Parmi les résultats obtenus jusqu’en mars 2023 : 1) la gestion de 179 boursiers, dont 92 femmes; 2) la graduation de 135 boursiers, dont 71 femmes; 3) la réinsertion de 88 % de boursiers et boursières dans leurs institutions six mois après leur retour au pays; 4) 96 % des boursiers et boursières affirment avoir obtenu une augmentation de leur connaissances et compétences à la suite de leur formation au Canada.
Results achieved as of March 2023 include: (1) the management of 179 scholars, including 92 women; (2) the graduation of 135 scholars, including 71 women; (3) 88% of scholars re-integrated within their institutions after six months of their return to their country; (4) 96% of scholars affirm having obtained increased knowledge and skills following their training in Canada.
