DESCRIPTION
International Graduate Program (IGP) provides international participants with a theoretical basis for their practice of diplomacy and essential tradecraft skills for their career progression. The course aims to build capacity through professional and academic training and will expose international participants to key Australian foreign, trade and development policy issues. Partner countries have relatively small foreign ministries, with little opportunity to conduct professional training or promote career development. The IGP provides participants with a suite of relevant policy, professional and academic training to enhance their ability to pursue key international policy objectives of their respective countries. It aims to establish strong and enduring personal linkages between junior Australian DFAT officials and officials from priority regional countries which will be utilised in the pursuit of Australian foreign, trade and aid policy objectives into the future.
